Thank you once again for your services at the wedding of Savanna on September 20. I had planned to write and if I am repeating myself, please excuse me. I can not find where I have actually sent you a note. Your professionalism was splendid and made the day easier for us.
My greater appreciation has come from watching the DVD. This was a considerable surprise; I had not particularly wanted to get the DVD, though it was a good deal and I did not oppose it. My first reaction was positive for all that we saw. But I especially liked it because in many of the still photos of the wedding my mother's face was still and in repose looked old, drawn and frankly frowningly unhappy. It was in the video that she came to life and it was clear that she was engaged and had a good time and knew what was going on, talking with people.
Brian, I appreciated this when we first saw the video three weeks ago. If I did not get a letter off immediately it is because life became busy: my mother became ill about 10 days after the wedding. She was in hospital for several days and returned to my brother's home where she has lived for a couple of years, to die peacefully a few days later, age 90, with her son beside her.
Now I doubly appreciate the animated pictures of her at the last event before her death.
This is not maudlin. This was a peaceful passing of a woman old, full of years, at the end of a full and terrific life in which she traveled all over the world. Her funeral was joyful and fun. While relatively sudden, her death was not a shock. But I will still cherish the video which shows that three weeks before her funeral she was very much herself, having a good time and aware of the event. She probably did not know who many of the people who spoke to her were but she enjoyed it nonetheless. And not one of the still photos I have seen communicates that.
This may be more information than you really want. But I wanted you to understand just how much the video means to me.
Initially Sally and I watched the first 6 sections, going to the speeches. And we were very pleased with that! We only discovered last night that the dancing and sky lanterns and fully 9 more sections were on the DVD on the next panels. Wow! What a bonus. We were thrilled all over again.
Thank you again and again.

The video was so wonderful. Lynn and I just sat there and bawled! You captured the day so beautifully and thoroughly. So many little moments we did not see, the little flower girl, the lift off of the sky lantern and the wonderful pictures of Savanna's grandmother. It was great to see that you had photographed so many of the guests. This will be so good to have in years to come. The production was terrific, and so lovely to have the musical choices of the ceremony come through so well.
We could not be happier with your services Brian. Your prompt replies to our e-mails, your attention to detail, your willingness to accommodate last minute requests and changes and your smooth handling of the evening's events including the splendid shoe game made us relax and helped us truly enjoy our daughter's wedding.
Many guests told us they enjoyed the music, especially during the afternoon, and the younger guests let it rip with the dancing!
I am SO GLAD we got the video and thank you for the extra copy. Savanna has said she didn't think she would want a video but now I know she will treasure it.
